Updated

So I took the liberty to update the blog. When you log in, you just log in as before, but it will take you to a gmail page. the user ID is the exact same, but the password is different. It's all the same but after the original password (which you have to enter in order to get to the gmail page) you just add an *. So to log into the blog you log in w/ the orignal password. To log into the gmail portion to actually type in a post, you have to add an * to the original password. I hope that makes sense. We'll now get better features with the updated blog. Happy blogging! ~Mikaela

Merry Christmas

It seems that everyone's been so busy with their Christmas plans, that they haven't had time to blog. I just wanted to wish everyone a Merry Christmas! I'm sure I'll have some pictures to post later since Santa's making a home-visit today. That should be fun! So hope everyone had a great time at the family party. Sorry we didn't make it! Merry Christmas!
Love, Mikaela

Knight Family

Knight Family
The family Christmas party is going to be on December 23rd at 2:00pm at the Hansen Park wardhouse in Kennewick (on 4th avenue, near Columbia Center Blvd). We will be having a dinner and Wendy will be sending out food assignments with the invitations she will mail out on Monday morning. I hope the switch in dates is okay but our building was free on the Saturday and we thought it would be easier if we all didn't have to take off work on Friday. We hope it doesn't infringe upon Nichole's b-day (we'll make it up to you Nichole!). It will be a fun time and we hope to see representation from everyone in the family.

Christmas Party???

Okay, December's right around the corner, and I know that we're Knights, but unfortunately, I do not take directly after my dad, so I am trying to plan my month. Hopefully this way it'll be less chaotic, haha! Anyways, I'm wondering what really is going on for Christmas. Are we doing it the 22nd? Are we having dinner? Are we doing the nativity? Are we supposed to prepare something in our family to present or perform that night? If someone could let me know what's going on, that would be great. Also, are we doing an adult white elephant? If so, is there a date for that? We don't have anything on the weekends after next weekend (8th-10th) so anytime after that is fine with us. Well I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving. We had a nice time w/ the Cox's and the Harris'! Hopefully they had a nice time w/ us! haha! Take care everyone! We'll be seeing you soon (that is if we know when to be where! lol) ~Mikaela

Hey Family! Sorry, couldn't resist putting a picture of Richland ball on here, just a reminder that basketball season is around the corner.... it's getting closer and closer to th day where we'll smash richland, lol. But I hope that everyone's Thanksgiving is going fantastic. Just wanted to let you know that my first game, or rather, jamboree is this tuesday, the 28th at Kamiakin at 6:30pm in the main gym. Then I play friday the 1st at eastmont and Saturday the 2nd at Pasco. Both of these games are doubleheaders so if you don't feel like going to just a girls game, there is the boys game after, lol. They both start at 5:45pm, and if you don't come for me, remember that you'll also get some quality entertainment from our very own, Kortney Black, who made the varsity cheer team. She'll be doing her best to cheer my team on, so come, support us! Haha, hope to see you there! Cyd

We've Only Just Begun......

We got the pictures back from our wedding and mom is insisting we put some pictures on the blog, since I so don't know how to do it, she is helping me. (If the picture turns out sideways...that was mom's doing! Ha!)

Dave and I have conquered the first week and a half of living together. It is very weird not having to go to mom's at night....though sleeping in the same bed with someone is enough to make me want to sleep at mom's. We are adjusting and defining what "your side" of the bed means. Hopefully within the next month or so this won't be a problem!

It has been nice having extra hands around the house. If I would have known how much less I would have had to do around the house, I would have done this years ago. Dave is a great big help. I have only made dinner once the past week and a half, and have not yet had to do dishes. (A little hint for my brothers out there!)He even does laundry and knows how to sort. He is great and our house is much more cleaner.

We were able to stay in Spokane at the Davenport for the weekend of our wedding. It was nice and we had a good time. And for those of you always giving me a hard time about shoes.....we even went to Nordstrom's to buy some shoes for me. True love!

Dave is getting eager to get a calling. He has already been on a few service activities and will be speaking in church this coming Sunday. I think that he will learn that he will get ample of opportunities to serve.

Well, we are heading to Spokane and I'm being paged to get in the car. We are all doing great and we love all of you so much. Thanks for all of your support at the wedding. It was nice to be in the temple with our family, for in the end that is all that matters. We love each of you and appreciate the love, support and examples you all are to us. Enjoy your Thanksgiving.

Until later,

Dave, Marci, Talon and Kade

CONGRAD'S

Hey, Kortney and Cydney: Great job! Kortney will be basketball cheerleader, and Cydney signed a 5yr full ride scholarship to play BB w/ the Utes!
Just so you know the picture is one of many that I have. I have made a CD for each of the 12, so you can select which pose or family pict.you might want. I will try to remember to give one to each of you, but if I forget:REMIND ME FOR YOURS.

I will give the "Sluffers" one more week to get your Calendar pict to me. If not, you may be surprised at what I use!

The Honeymooners are back and I should hope to see a pict or two, here.

Hey, Mikaela, let us know if we should update for blogger????
Thanks for being such a great family. It was the greatest feeling to see you and your spouses (I count them as mine) in the Temple the Wedding day. Love, Grandma K.
PS. I know it is upside down, but, I'm not savy enough to change it! So, I guess you will have to stand on your head!!!!!

life in the fast lane...

Hello again, yes, I'm still alive and kicking. =D I have been incredibly busy the past few weeks. I've been hanging out with friends at least a few nights a week and I've been on a few dates as well. I actually had two the other day, lol. I have decided that I absolutely LOVE salsa dancing. It is so much fun! I've gone twice now with a group of people and it's so much fun. Especially when you dance with a guy who knows what he's doing so all you have to worry about is trying to follow his lead and not look like an idiot. I even got asked to dance by a complete stranger last night. It was kinda creepy because he's an older guy, but it's interesting to dance with different guys to learn how to follow different leading styles. But yeah. School is good; we just finished marching band for the year so that's one less class I have to worry about. Eastern finally won a football game, which was good because it made freezing our behinds off a little more worth it. =D I'm excited because someone pointed out to me that we don't have two full weeks in a row before we take finals, so that's encouraging. I'll be registering for classes at the end of this week, so hopefully I can get everything worked out to where it'll fit. Anyway, I just thought I'd update a little so you all knew what was going on. =D loves!

Photo Correction

Hey, we will meet at the Connell Ward Bldg @ 3:30 on Dave and Marci's BIG DAY. Then, if there is a change of site, we can adapt. SO EVERYONE OF THE KNIGHT CLAN: MEET AT THE CONNELL WARD ON NOV. 10TH @ 3:30 SHARP, for the BIG Family Pict. Then, if you want individual families, let Marci or I know and it will be after the big shot!

Everyone might want to remember Elder Kris Knight. He is having some stomach problems and it would be great if we remembered him in out FAST on Sunday. Thanks, Grandma K.

FAMILY PICTURES!!!!!!

Sorry, I was trying to use the "Bold" and oops! KATHRYN HADLEY WILL BE @ THE OLSEN'S @ 3:30 pm, THE DAY OF MARCI AND DAVE'S WEDDING. WE WOULD LIKE A "GIANT" FAMILY PICTURE TAKEN!!!! BE THERE!!! And please be on time as it is so hard to keep a "lot" of kids waiting!!!! (Punishment: We will turn your name into your Bishopric as wanting to be the nursery leader --I understand that Pasco 6th has 88 kids nursery age!!!!) Also, she is willing to take any of your family pictures if you would like her to do that. Just let me or Marci know. She does quite a good job and so far...is doing it out of the kindness of her heart! Love, Grandma K.

Christmas Memories-our faves

Alright, alright I'm a rookie - it took me 1 hr (mostly because I was reading all the latest gossip) and a 2nd try to post this:
Fam Christmas Bash
Fri. Dec. 22 (1:00 pm possibly - tba)
Hansen Park bldng (Kennewick)

There really is no "hush hush" about what we are doing so here it is: A conglomeration of our kids fave Christmas mems (as well as Mark's and mine growing up!) So we ought to have some fun. There is no school, of course, so hope this date and time works with everyone. Any questions or complaints - you know where to find me (unless it's a complaint) Wendy

What great Halloween costumes!!

Hey, Sessannas, You look great! I can't imagine the "bird" costume! Now, the rest of you Knights---GET THOSE PICTURES POSTED! There were some really great costumes at the "Knight Party"! Just had a good time, with donut "eating", Cupcake walk, a weird "feeling" what's in the bag game!, Pumpkin toss, pumpkin carving, trunk or treat and carriage rides, plus lot of weiner roast and good food! We missed a few, but had a lot of fun. How about it FLYING BLACK's!!!! Ask them about it those of you who missed seeing the capes! Love, Grandma p.s. Does anyone want their family pictures taken the afternoon after Marci and Dave's wedding? Let us know, because, I believe Kathryn Hadley will take them before the Open House.

It was tons of fun. Alan was a little redneck midget on an ostrich. It was the most HALARIOUS thing! Cant you just picture him on this thing bouncing around the gym. All the little kids stared at him and all the adults laughed. It was a good time. Little Aubrey was tigger and i was a hippie. Just thought id share with all of you. Grandkids!

First of all I have to mention that I haven't checked the blog in a few days, but there are suddenly all sorts of posts. I love the pics Kortney and Cyd! You girls look gorgeous. Hopefully you had a fun time!

Anyways, I just wanted you all to know some exciting news. It looks like Dennis and Myra may not have to wait too much longer for grandkids! No, one of their girls isn't pregnant or anything, but Kalvin is engaged. I don't know when the big day will be. The girl he's marrying is named Megan, and she is from Moses Lake too. She's attending BYU right now, and Kalvin's at WSU, so I don't know if they're waiting till the spring/summer or what's going on. Just wanted you all to know about it!

Marci--sorry that I won't be making it to your shower. I would love to come, but we are planning to come for the Halloween Party on the 28th. Hopefully we'll see you then, and will also get to see all the great things you got at the shower!

Okay, I understand about the Christmas Exchange, but what is going on for Christmas this year? I heard rumor that we might not be doing it on Christmas Eve. I am just curious as to what's going on and where it's going to be. Our Primary is doing a Nativity probably on Christmas Eve, so I need to know what time things are happening so I know whether or not to plan to attend our ward that day since we meet at 11. Just curious!

See you all on the 28th! ~Mikaela

HUBA HUBA

Wow, what great looking babes! You look just great. Did you have fun? What did you do? I expect a complete analysis of the evening!! Love ya, Grandma

Pasco-Homecoming

Well i had way too much fun at the dance last night. Grandma wanted some pictures so here they are...

NO CHRISTMAS EXCHANGE!

Okay, From all the comments that I hear, the majority of the family feel like the time has come to eliminate the family gift exchange. We are getting so large and each of you have your own families now. But, no one wanted to be the scrooge that said "I don't want to do this anymore." So, I will do it. There is no more Knight Family gift exchange. Also, Dad and I would rather you not (not is underlined) give us gifts. We don't need anything (except new bodies and minds!) We would rather use the means at your disposal for your own families or families in need. If, the time comes that we need material things, we will let you know. One of the greatest fulfillment comes, when you write and let us know what your family has done for another person or family in the Christmas spirit. I know it takes more time to do this. But, it is rewarding to us.

We hope that each of you take this in the spirit intended. Thanks, Mom.

I am sorry if everyone does not know about the family halloween bash! It will be @ Grandma's on October 28th (time and date will be forth coming). Maybe, "Trunk or Treat"??? If, Grandpa get out of the potatoes, I think he plans on some wagon rides.
The quilt is done--quilting that is--I still have the binding to do. But, the hard part is done.

Dr. said I do not have to go back. Thinks it has actually GONE. Hurrah! I surely am feeling better anyway.

Hey, Pasco--how was Homecoming??? Any Picts?? And Cyd, did you dance? How is the foot? Must go, Love ya, Grandma

Anyone going to LeGrande?

Jase has a game in LaGrande. I just can't bring myself to drive all the way there. LaGrande is supposed to be good so Jase doesn't expect to play much. They are going early to watch the Cuello kid who plays for Eastern Oregon. Hey I heard there is a Halloween party coming up. The kids have made off with my family calender so I just heard this. We are going to the Oregon coast Oct 27. Jase has already been asked to Sadies. I told him he is a hot commodity and that he should take bids!

It's Party Time!

For all of you family bloggers out there, here is a reminder about Marci's upcoming bridal shower. Lisa is throwing a personal shower for Marci next Saturday the 21st. It will start at 5:00 and go until it's over. Lisa is also serving a light supper. If you can, R.S.V.P. Lisa so she can plan food amounts. Sorry I didn't make invitations for the family, but I barely got enough made for Marci's friends.

an update!

Hey Jase, how come I never got a date like you for a dance? Red Lobster? I think the best place I went was Denny's. lol. =D Most of the time we just had dinner at someone's house to save money. =D

Well, life is great up here at Eastern. I got my car back! No more Jeep for me! =D I'm so excited about that. It's so much easier to parallel park a little car. Classes are going well, and I'm absolutely loving it. We perform Saturday at Joe Albi stadium in Spokane, and some of my friends and I are making it an all-day excursion. I'm excited. Congrats Marci! I don't think I'm going to make it down for your wedding, however. Sorry! I've got a performance that Saturday. Well, I think that's about all! -Myaela

Wednesday, October 11, 2006

Wow!

Hey, that's a great looking red head w/ date! Did you have fun? Haven't even heard the events of the night??

Still quilting, but it's going better than I thought. Jana gave me a boost on Saturday and Becky, Kelly B. and Nichole have put in some stitches. Hey Scott, Is that a swimming pool? I told Katelyn that you better not walk in your sleep!.. Got to go. It was good talking to Alan, guess he and Korrine took same flight only to S.L. Kind of life! Grandma

Bath time!

We just thought that we would share the latest picture with Aubrey with you all. We got home Sunday night late and are still adjusting to the time difference. Alan still hasnt passed the stone, but we are waiting. How are you doing grandma? We are glad that we got to visit with everyone while we were home. All the grandkids are getting so BIG! Marci's big day is coming up and we wish we could be there, but we will visit again soon. Well, enjoy the picture. We love you all! ~The Sessannas

Quilting Time !

Wow, October is starting to really whiz by. Today, I hope to get the quilt started. Anyone that has a spare minute----. I didn't want it up until after the birthday bash (Oh, and I think Dad enjoyed it so much.) But, then one thing or another and here it is Wednesday and I'm thinking that I will get the quilt, at least on the frames. Problem is, that until it's rolled a couple of times, you almost have to crawl under it--kinda of a problem for Dad!!! Jana, how is the teaching going? I must stop procrastinating and get moving! Oh, yeah, maybe McDonald's is a good idea. But, you made some good points, but I'd hate for grandkids to go w/o Christmas! Love, Grandma

Orlando and Mcdonalds

Marci, how many macdonald bucks do we each get? I was thinking perhaps we could all get happy meals. then the kids would be set for christmas. Also, I am not sure Mcdonalds and orlando will make a good combination. Can you see him at the playland? We would be kicked out of the resturaunt. Just a few thoughts. I don't think you want to be embarrassed with him there. YOu know Pasco has a great area for reserving in the back near the bathroom. Jana

September is Bountiful!

I was just looking @ Sept. calendar. WoW!! I think it is the most, overall, family Birthday month, with the addition of Alan on the 16th and Dave on the 22nd!

Mikaela, you are a glutton for punishment! Good thing that you are young! Glad to hear that your Primary program was successful. Our's is in a couple of weeks. The pict. makes me want to be a kid again.

Potato harvest is well underway. This year we only fill the storages, so not quite the pressure. I am on my way to "the cities" to pick up a phone for Felipe, I think his is buried somewhere in the north forty! Have a great day. Grandma K.

P.S. Aubrey is a doll!

IT'S OVER!

Well today was our big Primary Program. I am so glad that it's all over with. We had a practice yesterday and did a big carnival afterwards. The kids had a great time! It was so much work, and I'm just tired tonight after it's all said and done. I did the music today in Primary and had to hop on one foot (in heels) while singing "Do as I'm Doing" Yeah, I think I pulled a muscle in my thigh. That's probly the most physical exercise I've had in a while! Sad to say! lol! Anyways, I thought I'd post a few pictures of my Primary kids and our carnival. It was so fun! ~Mikaela

My Two Sense

This is just me, so don't go based upon me, but for us, it would be better to have the Halloween Party on a Saturday just because there's pretty much no way we'd come down on a Monday. I know everyone else lives closer and a Monday might work best, so really, no hurt feelings if that's the route taken! We want to host another Halloween Party this year anyway. Just let us know the date. I'll be sure to start working on my Calendar page soon! Hope everyone's having a good week! ~Mikaela

my first day as a college student...

Today was my first day of classes. And it was kinda interesting. To start out, it was an absolute nightmare trying to find a parking spot today. I drove around for like 5 minutes, realized I had 5 minutes to get to class, and just parked my car somewhere and hoped I wouldn't get a ticket. Then came my 9:00 Calc class. Which I'm technically NOT enrolled in. I'm enrolled in the 12:00 class, but the teacher said I could attend the 9:00 class instead. Which is cool with me, since my brain pretty much dies after 11:30. But anyway...I went to the building it was supposed to be in, and found out that it was instead at another building...like halfway across campus!! So I bumped into 2 other people going there, and we eventually found the right building. But then we realized that none of us remembered the room number we were supposed to go to. Smart us, right? Well, the guy knew the prof, so we just peeked our heads in looking for the right class and eventually found it. But there were no seats left. Joyous. But we eventually got things worked out. I just need to talk to the prof tomorrow and make sure it's okay if I come to the 9:00 class. I hope it is...because I'm going to take an institute class at 12:00. Then I had my honors class, which I made it to okay and everything. Actually, one of the girls from band (who I also went to dm camp with) is in my class, so that was cool. Class was boring...we just went over the syllabus and stuff. Then the prof let us out like 40 min early (it was a 2 hr class, btw). So another girl and I went to the bookstore to get some books. Oh and I already have homework. But yeah, let's just say that the line at the bookstore was CRAZY LONG!!! I'm definitely not going to buy books on the first day of class anymore. I seriously waited in line for at least 20 min. Then I went back to my car. Which DIDN'T have a ticket, thank heavens!!! I was so dang excited!! =D But anyway, then I went back to the apartment and made lunch. Then I had to come back for band, which was pretty boring, and I'm about to head over to another bookstore to see if I can find some used books, because there aren't any more at the EWU bookstore. Bye guys! Love ya'll!

-Myaela

IT'S CALENDAR TIME!!

Yes, remember the scrapbook page. I would like to have them by the Halloween party. Talking of Halloween party--how does the Saturday before the scary day sound? Or, we could do it for FHE on the Monday, but I know w/school that makes it tough. Give me your feed back.???? Please make the scrapbook pages go "landscape" (same as last year's calendar). You always have better family pictures than I do! You can choose a holiday, vactation or just whatever you want!

On with the "white beast" story. Dad took it to Richland to another transmission outfit. They put it on their computer and I guess the problem is probably in the wiring somewhere. maybe engine computer?? (but, we had that tested a month ago and it was fine) so the "white beast" is now McCurley's problem! We bought an 02 Chevy Duramax w/ only 30,000 miles (maybe that's a bad omen!). It is also a dually. I was kind of hoping for that and then Dad wouldn't be using it on the farm! It is white, too. So after we get the 5th wheel apparatace (sp?) mounted, we will be ready for our maiden voyage! Probably in the snow!!

Hey, Kelly F. So great to hear that your parents are heading "down under." ( In case you haven't heard, they are going to Perth, Australia for mission.)

Dane looked good in JV football game on Monday night! Hear that Jase has asked someone to upcoming dance???
Enough rambling. Love, Grandma

Monday, September 18, 2006

First off, happy birthday to all who have had birthdays this month. There are so many I can't keep track of them all. Plus, I lost my family birthday calendar, so I am out of the loop! Anyhow, I hope the September birthdays have had great ones! Not much is going on in our lives. Scott and I went to Zions on Saturday. We had a lot of fun. It is sure pretty. Scott got a little worried when I said "it would be easy for someone to throw their spouses off one of the cliffs." Of course I didn't mean him, but it sure would be easy! I really wanted to go to Colorado City to see the polygamists, but Scott didn't think it would be worth our time. I was pretty disappointed. Anyways, we had a great time. We got to do some shopping at the outlet malls, and it was great to get out of the city. Scott started tutoring for high school algebra students a couple nights a week. He enjoys doing it. Its hard for me to think of anyone enjoying algebra. haha. The weather is starting to cool down (it was around 90 degrees today)and we are loving it. It feels so good to be cooler. I hope everyone is doing well. We enjoy reading other posts. We especially love to see the pictures! I especially enjoyed Orlando's post! Keep them coming!

Love,
Scott and Kelli S.

Happy Birthday Alan!!

Yes, Happy, Happy Birthday Alan!! Wow, What I wouldn't give to feel like 24 again--but, I don't want to start at 24!!!

I got out of surgery about 9am and was home by noon. I am so stiff and sore--I think they put me on the "rack" ?? and stretched my legs. Otherwise, I am doing okay. They did the "Lithotripsy" machinge to break up the stones so I guess that I am still suppose to pass them Oh, yeah! I'm kind of laying around and trying to get Dad to wait on me hand and foot--actually, he's doing pretty good job of it! Have a great Saturday! Love, Mom

HAPPY BIRTHDAY ALAN!!!!!

October 28th—Home Game vs. Northern Arizona (homecoming)
Woodward Field (2:05 p.m. kickoff)

November 11th—Home Game vs. Idaho State
Woodward Field (2:05 p.m. kickoff)

We might have additional performances if the football team is good this year. =D But this is what we've got so far. Anyway, I've got to go get some lunch! Talk to you guys later!

Counting down: one day left!

Sounds like I'm looking forward to surgery, actually, I'm not, but I'd like to get rid of this nagging back ache and feeling less than ambitious! (then I won't have an excuse). I got 5 novels read while I've been vegging!

Myaela, what are you practicing for? a concert? Will you be playing @ home football? I talked to Mikaela yesterday, she said that Mindy had come up /w Gwen to take stuff up so I guess that she is moving this week.

Nichole, you did it! Guess that I'd better get to work, I have Missionaries to feed tonight and I need to decide what to fix. Love, Grandma K.

Lincoln City

Okay, so I messed up a little on the first blog. I didn't let you know who was writing, so it is Nichole again. I thought that I would try to post a picture too. Sam and I took our boys to Lincoln City, Oregon over the Fourth of July. We had such a great time. The boys loved to play in the water and on the beach. The highlight of our trip was probably discovering starfish, anemones, and other sea creatures in a tide pool. Our kids definitely liked discovering all of the animals up close. We had just been reading a book about ocean animals, so Ethan recognized the anemones and starfish.
I really don't have a whole lot to say, but I wanted to jump on to the blog-wagon and see if I could actually figure out how to use this thing. I used to be quite the computer person and then we didn't have internet for the longest time, and everything has seemed to change so much that it is all foreign to me.
I am watching Lisa's kids again this year. I am beginning to think that Jarin isn't as much of a handful as my own kids are. I just worry about the things that Jarin will be picking up from my own kids.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, MIKAELA!!!

So, glad to see how much Aubrey is growing--wow, it doesn't seem that long ago that we heard about her arrival. Cydney, I like those pictures!! and yes, I do have the best looking grandkids on the Blog!!--including those with red hair!!. Mikaela called and said that McKay had taken off walking today!! What a birthday present!!

Grandpa and I left Monday afternoon, intending to go over into Montana. We got as far as Farragut State Park just before dark. So, we camped for the night. It is very pretty there with lots of pine trees and grass, but they have not had water since June and everything is showing dry. We left the next morning and drove to Bay View. It is a picture perfect town on Lake Pend O'Reille. Quite a bit of history there. Guess the lake is the deepest fresh water lake in the US and miners used it to go by paddle boat to the gold mines in Montana. It is close to Farragut, which used to be a military base during WWII. Anyway, shortly after getting back on to Highway 95 going toward Sandpoint, our lovely "white beast" (that had gotten back from repair) started making funny jerking sounds in the transmission. So Grandpa thought we better head home---We arrived back about sundown on Tuesday! So, now is the question, is it normal noise or problem--we like to think it is normal when we see how much it will cost to replace it and how little they want to give us on trade in. Oh well, join us another hour to hear the updated saga!!! Have a great one all you many birthday people. Love, Grandma K.

On my own...

Yeah, that's right. So I moved in to my Cheney apartment yesterday and got everything unpacked. Let me just say that I officially HATE packing and unpacking. It's so time consuming and boring! But everything is out of boxes (except for my fragile stuff, which I need to put the shelf up before I can unpack it) and ready to go. I did come up with a list of stuff I forgot, and I also have 3 boxes of stuff to take back home. =D Less (stuff) = more (space)!! =D I do have to admit that it's kinda weird to be on my own. I have to cook all my own meals, do my own shopping and laundry...and everything! It's crazy! But I'm handling it quite well, I think. My roommate and I are taking turns fixing dinner and doing dishes and stuff, so it's going well.

Band camp started today, and I just had an absolute blast. We didn't do any marching today; we just got a lot of music (both pep band and our show) and did a lot of reading on it. I'm so excited. There are some really cool songs. And the show is going to be great! It's a latin jazz show, and I'm just absolutely loving it. Our second show was supposed to be based on the music of Queen, but the director told us today that he couldn't find a GOOD Queen show, and he didn't want to make us play a show that wasn't good, so we're doing a show based on a rock musical...I think the name is Tommy or something. *shrug* I was really looking forward to playing Queen, but I guess it's not meant to be. I honestly have no idea what the new show is about, but I guess I'll just have to wait and see!

Well, I am getting cold (I'm sitting outside in Eastern's campus to connect to their wireless network because we don't have the internet at my apartment) so I think I'm going to wrap up my post. =D I'll update again when I have some new news!

-Myaela

So Right then and there I decided that you all were missing out on me... lol, I am just kidding, but I really am posting some pics just so ya can all see. I haven't chosen the finalists yet, but here are a few. Grandma, I am sorry that you are so miserable, if there's anythign i can do to help, let me know! Good luck with that surgery. I am doing well at Pasco; I LOVE IT! If only I could've spent last year here as well. But I know that thing happen for a reason, and maybe I needed to be at Richland. Anyways, I think that McKae is adorable... but then again I haven't really been around to see the other grandchildren, so I can't be the judge. Dave, welcome to the family. I expect the bribes to start flowing in if you want to get any tickets to Utah games ;) Haha, j/k. But yeah, I love you all and I can't wait for Christas or Thanksgiving when I can see all the fam again. speaking of thing, I am actually going to go down to Utah on the 22nd and 23rd for an official. What that means is basiclly I get my airfare, food, lodgins, activities (everything) paid for. They are coming down here around october 5th ish to visit me as well. But umm.. Bulldog Basketball starts around November, and I hope to see a few of you there! well, I have to go, got to get up early tomorrow. Love you all, Cydney.

The CUTEST grandchild!

So mom claims she has the cutest grandchildren, which she does, but I just wanted to post a picture of THE CUTEST ONE so that there was no question! I know she spoke of McKay, having spent some time with him just the day before posting that! So I'm sure she had him in mind when saying this! haha! SO here's a picture of my boys at Silverwood in July!

Well one bright spot is that today McKay took about 5 steps. He was laughing and smiling because of course we made a big deal out of it. I'm hoping that this trend continues because I'm getting tired of lugging him around! Anyways, hope everyone's doing great! It was good to see a few of you while in Connell yesterday! We'll see you soon! ~Mikaela
Mykins baptism is at 5 p.m. on Sun. sept. 24th. At the pasco stake center. Hope to see you all there. Jana

Pictures???

Marci and Dave: Congrads!! Surely you are in for a lot of teasing since you are the last!!!! But, we wish you both the best!! Love, Mom

It's Finally Final! :)

Ok, I hear this is THE way to get family news out fast, sooooo........Dave and I are finally engaged. I'm sure this comes as a total shocker to you you! Ha!!! :) (Half of you already know that since you were part of the whole scheme on Friday!) We were at the football game in Connell on Friday night when Kent suddenly got a migrane and had to go home during the end of first quarter. At the end of the second quarter Lisa asked if I'd go and get her van because Kent wasn't going home. She told me the keys were in the van and I didn't need to go into the house. Well, we get to their house and find the van in the driveway with NO keys in it. Dave heads to the door and says we just need to go in and get them. I was telling him NO, Lisa said they'd be somewhere in the car. Anyways, he finally coaxed me to go in the house and look for the keys. Boom, it was dark except for a few dozen tea lights all lit, soft music, chocolate covered strawberries and sparking cider, oh and I can't forget the beautiful two dozen long stem roses. It was fun to have a few moments together, but come to find out, Kent was outside the whole time waiting. The party planner had to see his efforts! :) Thanks Kent....it was great. After about 10 minutes we went back to the game and bless Lisa and Kent's hearts once again, Chuck Lee announces our engagement over the PA system at the end of the game.

We are planning on getting married Friday, November 10th in the Columbia River Temple. Time is to be determined (I'll let you know within the next week or so), but I'm thinking morning. There is no school that day because of Veteran's Day, so we figured most people wouldn't have to take time off of work. More details of it all to come later.

David is planning on moving up here and we are cramping everything into the trailer for now until we can figure something else out. More details of that later too!

Just wanted all of you to know and thank each of you for all of your support. We love you and appreciate all you do for us. You are the best family ever...Dave always reminds me how lucky I am, and he is excited to be joining our wonderful family.

Until later with more details....love you all,
Marci and David

Knight Family

Knight Family
Hey, I like all the wonderful pictures! They are so great and I'm glad that you are sharing them. Well, I go to Kadlec on Friday (15) for "stone" removal! Too bad the stones aren't worth money!!! Just glad that I will be "out" this time! Guess they will do a little bit of bladder update too. Sure hope that it get rid of my feeling "ucky" and a terrible back ache. So glad that Lisa has been willing to host the RS Visiting Teaching Brunch that was scheduled at my house for the 16th. Somehow, I don't think I will be too spry by then.

Well, we got the "white beast" (Dually) back and so all was supposed to be fixed! Dad moved the 5th wheel out of the driveway a week ago and then when he went to move it a couple of days ago, the beast wouldn't start so he "jumped" it, but it still wouldn't start so he put the battery charger on it. Anyway, found out the alternator diaode (?) was out, so got a new alternator--but then the air-conditioner wouldn't work--so we have it in Tri-Cities getting that fixed! Oh, what a pain. Too bad we can't afford to trade it off, but I think everything is almost new now (except engine)! And let's cross our fingers on that!! We may leave and go somewhere (??) if we can get the air going because we need to "test" drive the beast because I think the people in Spokane that replaced the transmission may have some kind of "warranty" and I'm not sure it will be in effect next spring!

Kortney, I think I agree with your Mom. The white shirt picture shows more of you, but both of them are great. Cydney, How was your BD? Did you do anything fun? How is bulldog country? How did we get such cute grandkids!!

I expect Mikaela today--she is going to teach @ Connell tommorrow. It's also Fall Festival and Becky's kids show their lambs. It looks like "camper city" at the livestock area. I've never seen so many RV's!

I need to leave and go to Kahlotus visting teaching so I'll talk to you later. love, Grandma

Kids with Mark

My buddy Ethan

Knight Family

Knight Family
Well, this site seems to be dominated by females so I thought I'd be the first Knight guy to actually make a post. We've been busy getting back into the swing of school with homework and all of the activities like soccer, volleyball, and music lessons. To top it all off, I've been trying to install a sprinkler system so that we can plant grass within the next few weeks before it gets too cold.

Anyhoo, I'll see if I can actually post some photos of the kids on this thing. Take care...we love you all.

Love, Orlando.

Hello from Fabulous Las Vegas!

Well, I really enjoy reading everyone's posts, so I figured I'd give everyone an update on our lives here in Las Vegas. We just moved about a month ago into our own place,so it's been nice to have our own space. We do have an extra bed, so if anyone feels like visiting, we would love to have you! I just got a job working at Coldwell Banker. I enjoy it, but I guess it's definately not my "dream job." My dream job would be sitting by the beach all day, so I guess I might as well get used to working here! Scott got hired on full time at Bechtel, so we have truly been blessed. We are very fortunate, but I'm sad that we don't live closer to my Washington family. Scott's dad was recently diagnosed with cancer, so we've had all kinds of challenges lately. We are hoping for the best and he and the doctors are optimistic. Mom was recently down here, which was so nice. I didn't want her to leave, especially after she did all of my ironing! I felt guilty but I didn't complain!! That's about all thats going on in our lives. Scott and I went to the Tim McGraw and Faith Hill concert on Saturday night. It was really great! I guess its one of the perks of living in Sin City! Too bad I don't feel safe driving down the street without my doors locked. Oh the joys of living in the city!! I hope everyone is doing well. Mom keeps me updated on the latest of "family news" but sometimes she forgets who she tells! So, I appreciate the updates from everyone. Korrine, your baby is adorable! I want more pictures when you get a chance! Kortney, I can't tell you which picture I like better. They both look good. Cydney, where have you been?? I feel like your one of those distant relatives that you only see every 3 years!! I'm kidding! I'm excited for you playing at Utah. You'll do great. I love you all!!

Mykin's baptism

Mykin is going to be baptized on Sept. 24. on Sunday. Everyone is invited. We are not sure on a time yet. Probably 5 p.m. we will let you know. Jana

Here are two pictures of Kortney that she can't decide which she likes better for her senior picture so how about everyone helping her choose. I like the one where she is wearing the white shirt but I think she likes the one where she is in the tree. I think there is something going on mentally there that she can't see but I've aways thought she was up a tree. of course this could all change tomorrow with her. Also Jana has changed her email addres to janablack@clearwire.net have a good day.

A Few more weeks!

Hello Everyone! I just thought that i would give a little update. Everyone is doing well. Alan is still working as hard as ever and i hardly get to see him, but Aubrey keeps me on my toes all day and night so i hardly have time to think about anything else! I have been feeling much better and Alan and I are both counting down the days until we get to come home. The weather has been really nice here until tonight..there is a huge thunderstorm passing through. Its pretty neat to watch those! Well, Aubrey went to bed, so nows my chance to catch an hour or maybe two...ill keep my fingers crossed! haha. Hope the family is well. We miss you all. Love the Sessannas

Who says that you can't teach an old dog new tricks! I just posted this. This is a wonderful way to let the family know how we are all doing. As you can read, we now have a Ute and a Cougar(kyle) in the same house. Kyle hs put his pride aside and they get along well. Our missionary is growing by leaps and bounds. He bears testimony each week of his faith in our Savior and that if we put our trust in Him we can do mighty miracles. He sent this picture of some of the vehicles in Barcelona. Can you imagine all 6'7" of him getting into one of these. His companion at the time was 6'8" and 240. I would have love to see that. If you haven't heard, we moved to Pasco and are getting settled. We feel like we are home and surrounded by people who love us. Kyle is getting ready for harvest and so he is gone quite a bit. He still finds time to entertain though. The kids love the pool and spend hours exercising. Coleman and Caleb are enrolled in school and playing football and basketball. I am working a bit so we are busy like everyone else. We send our blessing to everyone and hope this finds you all in good health.

My Two School Choices

Hey family, This is the Cydney in the Kyle Knight family... didn't know what to call myself. But I figured that since I haven't seen you all in a long time, I'd fill you in on the whole basketball dealio. So, i am officially a Ute! Yay! Uncle mark, no complaints, or from any of you that went to BYU, lol. As Grandma would say, "You're going to the Gentile school." Haha! But I don't care; I love it. I am scheduled to go down there for my official visit on the 22 and 23 of September. Then they'll fly down here for a home visit sometime after then. I am so excited, and I feel like I have made the right choice. So I have to leave in July of next year (probably the early part) in order to atend a summer session of school. I have decided to go to Pasco and become a bulldog my senior year. Three high schools in 4 years is an experience that I don't recommend for every child, but in my case, it's made me who I am. Look on the bright side, since I am gradutaing with kortney, you wont have to sit through two graduations! But I have talked enough already. I will update you later when I know what I am doing. Hope everyone is doing great! Love Cydney

HERE I FINALLY AM!

Hey everyone-I finally am posting! I have checked the site a couple of times but hadn't posted for lack of time and too much effort!AUBREY is darling. VERY VERY CUTE! I'm thinking she looks like Allan. That may change but sorry Korrine she looks like daddy mostly. I have to offer you both congratulations. Sorry I've been slow in calling and/or posting! I have gotten her something..... its bigger so I am waiting till you come to WA to give it to you. I am jealous I didn't get to go back and see you all in DC. Sounds like it was a party! I wish I could've been to Allans baptism and the blessing. YOU NEED TO MOVE CLOSER. I know thats in the future so I won't bug you about it.

I have been busy here at B&R. I shouldn't be posting because I have billing to do and I just bought a new billing program that I am going to be racing against the clock to learn before I run out of my old programs invoices. I have about 70 invoices left and 30 bills to run........ So if we stay out at this pace I will run out next week...eeeeek! LIFE IS way to UNexciting if that is my big news. Our summer has been so uneventful that I was so looking forward to the HIgh Priest Corn feed last week, just to do SOMETHING, even with all the oldies! Then Chris had to work and we didn't make it. Tis life I suppose. I am looking forward to winter and KOrrines visit!

Becky

Cute Baby

Korrine and Alan: Just cute pictures. I need to remind everyone to check this blog out! We got home about 1 am our time. I had to go to Tri-cities yesterday to the bank and then to Sonja's. By about 5pm I was beginning to feel kind of "bushy" but now after a good night's rest, I am fine. Thanks so much for the fun time. Alan, I think that I can "maybe" ride the metro again. I was impressed by it! Thanks so much for going w/out sleep so we could see things!
Alan's baptism was so specail, as well as the confirmation. He had lots of friends from their Ward attending and I know they will fit right into membership! (I won't tell them about Church callings! haha).

I was so impressed with the Capitol building. It is so majestic! I loved the murals on the ceiling. The Haloucat Museum was outstanding; such a reminder to all of us of the power the evil one has if we allow him in our lives. Just a sad remindr of man's inhumanity to one another.

I recalled as I was contemplating the long flight, how our ancestors would have given anything to have reduced that 3 month trek into 5 hours! We do complain!!! Maybe that should be "I", I'm sure you all don't! Anyway we had a great weekend. Aubrey is so precious.

Today, Sam's Brother, Danny, is getting married in Salt Lake. The Harris' left yesterday for that lovely drive with 2 babies. Spencer was not feeling very good midway so hope that he's doing good.

I am so grateful for such a great posterity! You are the best!!
Love, Mom, Grandma, GreatGrandma, Vanae

Our little girl

I hope the family is at least reading these blogs or else its just Mikaela and i reading each others...which is totally fine! haha. ANyways, Aburey is here and now almost 3 weeks old! I cant believe that. She keeps me on my toes and Alan and i both love her tons! I am coming out to WAshington on the 20th of september and leaving on the 8th of october. Alan is coming out on the 1st of october and leaving on the 8th. Grandma and Grandpa, caleb, coleman, cyd, and my mom and dad came out here for Alans baptism and Aubrey's blessing. Alan was baptised on the 12th of this month. WE are all excited.im feeling much better after the surgery on my back...it should be fully healed within a few weeks. other than that we are all doing great! We miss everyone and hope to hear what everyone is up to! ~Alan, Korrine, and Aubrey

Congrats

Since no one is leaving any posts on this lovely blog, I thought I would leave one. I really do not have anything exciting to say. Life around here is mundane as ever. I do want to say congratulations to Korrine and Alan though! Aubrey is so cute! I can't wait to get to see her. What days will you be here in Washington?

Well, Charles has this week off work, so we've got a few fun things planned. We were going to go to Seattle, but decided if we didn't have to pay for a hotel we could do a lot more fun things around here. I think we're going to go back to Silverwood without McKay too. That should be a lot of fun! We definately need a day for just the two of us!

New Addition

Our family has just been enlarged by two feet. Aubrey Fay Sessanna was born July 28th at 3:04 p.m. She weighed 7#3 ounces and was 20 inches long. Mother and baby are doing great. She sleeps 5-6 hours at a time and rarely cries. She has dark hair ( like her Italian Dad) and huge hands and feet. Just wanted to update everyone. Hope all is well. Love The Sessannas
