Happy birthday!

I've also been thinking of our special angel on her 19th BD. I think we all have the same sweet wonderful feelings for her. When I think of patience, I think of her. How much uncomfort she must have endured. When you need to scratch your nose, shoo the fly away, or ask for a drink and millions of other things--I think of Cassie, with those beautiful eyes that spoke tons and you knew that she could communicate! We truly love her and hope she will wait for the rest of us-- that can scratch our noses, and show us the way! Because she did that while she was here for her short stay. Love and kisses Cassie and to your family, those Sisters who did not know her-- you need to never forget that when life hands us the tough things--that we still can look to Cassie. Eternity will give you the things that life denied! We will always learn from you! Love, Grandma K

Happy Birthday Cassie!

Today would be Cassie's 19th birthday, and I've found myself thinking of her a lot today. I'm not sure about the rest of you, so I thought I'd write some of my thoughts on our blog, and I hope others will take the time to write their rememberances of her in the future. I remember when Cassie was born and brought home from the hospital. It was so fun to be able to go over to Scott and Kelly's trailer after school to see the new baby. I'm sure Kelly really appreciated all her little helpers at the time. I'll also remember her infectious laugh. She would have us all laughing when she would be sitting in her wheel chair giggling. She had such a sweet smile. Cassie also had the most beautiful blue eyes that just sparkled. She truly was such a sweet addition to our family. I'm grateful to her parents who allowed us the opportunity to look after her. I realize now as a mother of a difficult child, it isn't easy to find people to help. So I'm glad that she allowed us to learn from Cassie and to be involved in her life. I look forward to the day that our family can see her again. Scott and Kelly, we haven't forgotten this sweet little spirit that was sent to your home. You two were such great examples to me; never complaining about the difficulties you faced. I appreciate that so much. Cassie, we love and miss you!

Thanks

Mikaela, Thanks for the special words. They touched my heart! But, Moms are kind of that way!! Frankly, I believe, the Lord gave me such good kids--if I would just bring so many to earth. We have such great posterity, that I am in awe!! Love, Mom
